We are here to talk about some of the best restaurants for good food, ice cream, fresh pasta, or just to sit above a 3-story rooftop patio bar. Downtown Austin is cool. East Austin is cool. But North Austin is indeed the coolest place! Domain Northside is certainly a great place to meet up with friends and listen to live music and enjoy great food. Most of these restaurants prepare to-go orders for the end of a long day of shopping, but you can eat in their dining rooms

- One of my favorite spots, this healthy, fast-casual restaurant offers a variety of vegetarian and gluten-free options. The menu also features fresh salads, bowls, and wraps, and there are plenty of vegan options as well. Tell them the Rambling Russells sent you for a Flying Avocado Wrap!
- Culinary Dropout –
- This gastro-pub offers a variety of classic American fare, craft cocktails, and local beers. Their most popular items are fried chicken, mac and cheese, and burgers. And there’s plenty of seating in the outdoor patio for dining al fresco.
- Thai-Kun –
- This food truck-turned-brick-and-mortar restaurant offers delicious Thai street food in a casual, laid-back setting. The menu features dishes such as Pad Thai, Xian noodles, and Xian Sushi, Drunken Noodles, and Green Curry. There are plenty of vegetarian options as well.
- Yard House –
- When you’re hungry you’ll try American-style cuisine like Truffle Fries from their amazing true food kitchen. Thirsty? Drink from one of the 125 tap-drawn beers offered at the full bar. You’ll find something good for everyone to enjoy. It’s a kid-friendly restaurant and also great spot for a quick and satisfying meal.
