We have been traveling for most of our married life, Here we have some of the travel tips and tricks we have learned- often through trial and error. Learn from our mistakes so you can have a smoother, more enjoyable life of travel.
Throughout our lives, our jobs and responsibilities have, naturally, impacted our ability to travel. We also have family spread out across the country, so we often travel en route to visit them. And when your time is very limited, you prioritize the important things… like granddaughters and family. Now that we are retired, we find ourselves just as busy as we were before we retired, but we tend to have more flexibility.
So far, we have traveled by RV, camped in tents, car trips, cross-country trips, international trips, and cruises, just to name a few. Despite all of those trips, we still manage to find numerous ‘lessons’ that we seem to be slow to learn. There are always others who are willing to share their experiences and the internet provides a plethora of information about all the different adventures we might find ourselves in the middle of. However, we also still learn a lot of the lessons the hard way. Maybe someday we will have all the answers! (Ha!) Until then, we will just have to keep going and learning along the way.
